Convention 2012 - Date: April 26-28, 2012. Halls Lake Momketeers will be hosting Mickey Moms Club at Hotel Deca in Seattle's University District. Events include Thursday Night Meet and Greet, Minnie's MOY Munchin' Luncheon, Workshops, Fantasmic Friday Night Party, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Saturday's Donald Duck Waddle, and Saturday night Belles of the Ball Banquet. Ways and Means will have a Mini Mouse Moms Club House raffle basket. What would you have in your club house? They will accept donations at convention. Look for more information on raffles by Scholarship and future conventions and fall meetings.
Halls Lake Momketeers challenge each club and member in the Northwest to make a monetary donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Donations will be presented to a foundation representative during general session on Saturday April 28th.Workshops will include "A Brighter Tomorrowland" with natural foods, cleaners, and skin products; a Club Roundtable "NWAMOTC What Direction Now:" and by popular demand, a "Cupcake Magic" Class.
Minnie's MOY Munchin' Luncheon will include special gifts and lots of polka dots. If you are in a Minnie Mouse mode, dress could include red, white, black or yellow and of course, polka dots! Plan to bring photos of your own little or not-so-little Mouseketeers. Our Keynote Speaker with be Leigh Anne Jasheway, who had us rolling in the aisles i Eugene. Her topic this time will be "The World is Your Playground: Go Ahead and Play!
Be sure to bring your booty to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique which will be open once per day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There are always great gifts, baskets, and raffles with lots of opportunities to support our NWA projects and club activities.
The Fantasmic Friday Night Party will be a riot of color and costumes! Costume Contest: With Disney, the possibilities are "To infinity and beyond!" Prizes will be awarded for crowd favorites. Skits: Fire up your collective imaginations and have fun lighting up the night with your own brand of Disney entertainment! Dazzle us with your club' on-stage performance of a favorite Disney song - lip synched or live - and compete for fabulous prizes.
